VAN HALEN: An Open Letter
I'm compelled to address the now-rampant rumors that Van Halen is playing the Superbowl. First of all let me say this -- be still my pigskin heart. That honor has not been bestowed upon us at this time though it is one we would accept in a NY minute.
Having heard VH blaring through stadium speakers on any given Sunday - more like every given Sunday, the idea of playing there live would be like - 'okay, now we're in the game.'
With the release of a new CD, it is expected that they would perform a few of their new tunes. A pleasant surprise is a couple of songs from the past like "Romeo Delight" and a song that hasn't been played live since 1980, "Women in Love."

Bono says he's not sure how much U2 has left in the tank. After 12 albums and 30 years it may be the end of the line for the group.
Even though he's been busy with Bad Co., Paul Rodgers says he wouldn't mind teaming up with Queen again to perform in 2012 London Olympics.

Van Halen vocalist David Lee Roth has posted a message on his website that simply says, "Get ready," fueling rumors that the band is preparing to release a new single and announce the details of its first new album with Roth since 1984. The group has been in the studio recording since January, following its massively successful 2007/2008 reunion world tour with Roth back on the mic.

Ex-Guns N' Roses manager Alan Niven has listed the major mistakes that he thinks singer Axl Rose has made since taking over the band and parting with all the original members. Niven, who handled the band during its late '80s/early '90s success, told Brave Words, "Axl made two huge mistakes: one was releasing (2008 Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy) and the other was working with (recent) manager Irving Azoff.
After this recent comment from lead singer Robert Plant it looks like another Led Zeppelin reunion is later rather than later :)
He said: "I Think We're Probably Thinking About Talking."
So the Oregon Ducks are in town to play the Vol's tomorrow and strangely this appears in the back yard. I've heard of bringing the rain with you, but ducks?
