Daniel Donato & Willa Mae are joining Blues Traveler, The Dirty Guv’nahs, Maggie Rose, The New Respects, Electric Darling, and Tennessee Power & Light for the inaugural event on May 14th in World’s Fair Park. That’s 8 bands for just $45!
Daniel Donato is a 25-year-old Nashville native, whose debut album, A Young Man’s Country, is his proper introduction to the general musical audience. Recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium in a mere two days and produced by guitar-ace Robben Ford, the record weaves outlaw country, Grateful Dead-style Americana, and first-rate songwriting into a singular form Donato calls “21st-century cosmic country.”
Willa Mae is a Knoxville native whose debut album Kids’ has been defined as “a piece of sonic art – a pop gem – and is potentially the best album released in Knoxville last year,” by Blank Newspaper. The whimsical, honest, and youthful singer/songwriter embraces the idea of do-it-yourself with open arms and rejects commitment to any one particular genre.
