Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce its participation in this year’s Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, set to take place on November 28th. This campaign is especially dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the organization’s Critical Home Repair program.
The Critical Home Repair program represents Knoxville Habitat’s ongoing commitment to ensuring our local elderly live comfortably and safely in homes that hold a lifetime of memories. “For many seniors in our community, their home isn’t just a place to live, it’s a repository of memories, of life’s highs and lows,” said Kelle Shultz, Knoxville Habitat CEO. “Through this program, we aim to ensure they continue cherishing these memories without the worry of essential home repairs.”
Thanks to a generous donor, every dollar raised during the Giving Tuesday campaign will be matched up to our campaign goal of $30,000, amplifying the impact of each contribution. Possibly resulting in a monumental $60,000 in funding for the program.
Last year alone, the Critical Home Repair Program successfully completed 21 projects, supporting 22 adults, 3 children, and 2 veterans. With the funds from this Giving Tuesday campaign, Knoxville Habitat hopes to aid even more families in need.
In the lead-up to Giving Tuesday, supporters can look forward to engaging content, including heartfelt video testimonials from homeowners who have benefitted from the program and insights from staff deeply involved in this initiative.
The campaign also incorporates a crowdfunding initiative, allowing supporters to become advocates and rally their communities to support this cause.
