South Korea special forces officer involved in martial law says soldiers were ‘victims’ of ex-defence minister

SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea’s special forces officer said on Monday he bore all responsibility for making his 707th special mission group members raid parliament during the short-lived martial law last week.

He added soldiers involved were “victims” who were used by Defence Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who stepped down after the incident.
