Tennessee raced out to a four-run lead in the first inning and kept the pressure on offensively all game while four Volunteer pitchers combined on a two-hitter to clinch the series sweep over Seton Hall with a 10-2 victory on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

After drawing a one-out walk in the bottom of the 11th inning, senior Chris Pierce took advantage of three consecutive wild pitches to score the game-winning run as Tennessee defeated Seton Hall, 3-2, to claim its sixth straight victory to open the 2012 season on Saturday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
