East Tennessee Children’s Hospital is expanding services at the Blount Outpatient Center. The Blount Outpatient Center, located at 352 Fountain View Circle in Alcoa, currently provides Urgent Care services for pediatric patients. Beginning this month, Children’s Hospital will offer pediatric rehabilitation services at this location including physical, occupational, speech language and feeding therapies. The Blount Outpatient Clinic will be staffed with experienced pediatric therapists who create custom treatment plans for patients.
“East Tennessee Children’s Hospital is excited to continue our investment in the health of children and families in Blount County,” said Kelly Deraney, Vice President of Ambulatory Services at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. “We are not just a hospital in downtown Knoxville – we are a network of care serving families throughout East Tennessee and beyond. When we make investments to serve our patients close to home, we are fulfilling our mission to improve the health of children through exceptional, comprehensive family-centered care, wellness and education.”
Along with the expansion of services this month, the size of the Blount County campus will increase in 2024. Maryville Pediatrics will be moving to new offices at this pediatric care center in late 2024.
“When our expansion is complete, this campus will have multiple services for families in Blount County seeking pediatric healthcare,” said Deraney. “Whether visiting Maryville Pediatrics for a yearly well check, receiving therapy services to improve developmental skills or visiting urgent care to check out a minor injury after hours, this convenient center will provide personalized, pediatric care for families for years to come.”
An exact opening date for the new Maryville Pediatrics location will be announced later in 2024.
