Sep 15 (Field Level Media) – The Minnesota Wild signed head coach John Hynes to a multi-year contract extension on Tuesday.
Terms of the deal were not released for Hynes, who is entering the final season of his existing contract. The new deal will begin after that expires.
Hynes, 51, owns a 125-78-24 record since becoming Minnesota’s coach on Nov. 27, 2023. He has guided the club to the playoffs on two occasions.
Overall, Hynes is 409-333-87 as the head coach of the New Jersey Devils (2015-19), Nashville Predators (2019-23) and Wild. He has guided his teams to six playoff appearances.
